LECTURER IN ECONOMICS – CONTRACT POSITION

VACANCY NO. FSS/ECO01/2022

Duties: The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate, graduate courses and must have a solid background in Economics. The applicant must have demonstrable capacity to teach at least one of the following courses:  Managerial Economics, Public Sector Economics and Labour Economics. The successful candidate must also be able to take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and graduate research work. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined above.

Requirements: (i) A Doctorate in Economics or related discipline. (ii) Show engagement in research; (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a comparable institution will be added advantages.

N.B. In special circumstances a relevant Master’s Degree in Economics or related discipline with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related discipline of at least 2.1 or equivalent may be considered.
