Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Social Studies Education, in the Department of Languages and Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Education.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Social Studies Education; (ii) provide academic leadership through the enhancement of teaching, research, University, Professional and Communication service; (iii) take an active part in the supervision and assessment of graduate and undergraduate students’ research projects; (iv) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department;
Requirements: Candidates should have; (i) a PhD in Social Studies Education (ii) Show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement in Social Studies Education; (iv) teaching experience at university level or comparable institution and demonstration of effective leadership will be an added advantage.
NB: In special circumstances, (i) a Master’s degree in Social Studies Education; with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies Education with at least 2(i) /GPA of 3.6 or equivalent may be considered.
