The Faculty of Education invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Lecturer in Counselling and Human Services.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach Counsellor Education courses at undergraduate and graduate level and supervise research, practicum, and internship; (ii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research and curriculum review; and ( iii) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicant should possess: (i) at least a Doctoral Degree in Counselling and Human Services/Guidance and Counselling/Counselor Education and supervision or related fields and (ii) show evidence of engagement in applicants research; the following will be added advantages (i) evidence of Governance and Social Engagement; (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.
N.B In special circumstances, candidates who do not have a Ph.D. may be considered provided they have; (i) a relevant Master’s degree, and (ii) a relevant Bachelor’s Degree or cognate field with at least 2(i) pass or equivalent.
The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications clearly specifying tittles of publications, ISBN numbers, ( for books, book chapters and conference proceedings), dates published, name of publishers and name(s) of co-authors, if any, and number of pages. The work should be categorized into books, book chapters, refereed journal articles, on-refereed works and consultancies
