LECTURER IN CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION

VACANCY NO. FET/ME 2/2020

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Control and Instrumentation, and related areas; (ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects; (iii) Conduct research in control and instrumentation and also complement existing research activities in the area; (iv) Participate in other academic and professional activities of the department; (v) Render professional service and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have; (i) a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related areas; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) teaching experience in control and instrumentation at a university or comparable institution and evidence of governance and social engagement will be added advantages.

N.B. In special circumstances a relevant Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related areas with a Bachelor’s degree of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered on contract basis with the possibility of renewal.
