VACANCY NO. IRC 993: LECTURER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (3 contract positions)
The Faculty of Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Lecturer in Computer Science
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; (ii) supervise undergraduate projects but may be assigned to supervise graduate dissertations; (iii) conduct research in the relevant field; (iv) carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Department.
Requirements: Applicants should possess: (i) a PhD in Computer Science or related fields; (ii) Master Degree in Computer Science or related fields; (iii) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (iv) evidence of engagement in research. The following will be added advantages: (i) evidence of Governance and Social Engagement and (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.
N.B. In special circumstances a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields may be considered provided the candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent.
