LECTURER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE – (2 CONTRACT POSITIONS)

VACANCY NO: IRC 993

Duties:  The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; (ii) supervise undergraduate projects but may be assigned to supervise graduate dissertations; (iii) conduct research in the relevant field; (iv) carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a doctorate in Computer Science or related area; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research.

The following will be added advantages: (i) Evidence of governance and social engagement, (ii) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution.

N.B. In special circumstances a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related may be considered provided the candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields with at least a 2(i) (CGPA of at least 3.6/5) or equivalent and may be considered on contract basis.
