VACANCY NO: FE/MSE 03/2022 - LECTURER IN CHEMISTRY EDUCATION (1 Contract Position)
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Chemistry Education in the Department of Mathematics and Science, Faculty of Education.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach Chemistry Education courses to undergraduate and graduate students; (ii) supervise students on internship/teaching practice; (iii) supervise students’ research projects, theses and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels; (iv) Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.
Requirements: Applicant should have (i) a Doctoral degree in Chemistry Education or equivalent; (ii) a Master’s degree in Chemistry Education or equivalent. (iii) a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry Education or equivalent; (iv) evidence of engagement in research (v) Experience in teaching Chemistry Education or its equivalence at college/university level and evidence of social engagement and governance will be an added advantages.
N.B. Under special circumstances, a Master’s degree in Chemistry Education with at least a 2(i) or (CGPA of at least 3.6 out of 5) or equivalent pass at Bachelor’s degree level maybe considered.
