LECTURER IN CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

VACANCY NO. IRC 3046

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Systems and Control Engineering and related areas; (ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects; (iii) Conduct research in the area of Systems and Control Engineering and also complement existing research activities; (iv) Participate in other academic and professional activities of the department; (v) Render professional service and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research.  The following will be added advantages: (i) evidence of Governance and Social Engagement; (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.
