The University of Botswana (UB), a state- owned tertiary education institution invites suitable candidates for the position of Director  of  Teaching  and  Learning  Innovation, in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Teaching and Learning.

The  Director  of  Teaching  and  Learning  Innovation  is  responsible  for  leading  the  development  and  implementation  of innovative teaching and learning strategies, ensuring high-quality online and in-person education. The Director will oversee eLearning and learning design, and the enhancement of teaching and learning across the university.

  4. Customer and Stakeholder Experience
  5. Risk Management and Compliance
  6. People Management
  7. Financial Management 

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a PhD/Doctorate in Educational Technology, Information Technology, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Education Management/Administration, Quality Assurance or a related field.

Experience:

  1. A minimum of ten (10) years' experience, five (5) of which should have been at middle management level/ sectional head level.
  2.  Experience in a higher education environment will be preferred.

Key Competencies   

  1.  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Proficiency in data analysis and educational technology.
  3. Knowledge of Quality Assurance, accreditation processes and standards.
  4. Strong understanding of accreditation standards and educational assessment
