The University of Botswana, the only Comprehensive University in the country invites suitable candidates for the position of Director, International Office in the Office of the Chief Operations Officer.

The Director, International Education Office, is responsible for leading and managing the university's internationalization efforts. This includes integrating international dimensions into teaching, learning, research, and support services, fostering global partnerships, and overseeing international student marketing, recruitment, and financial administration. The incumbent will ensure the strategic and operational success of the International Education Office, aligning activities with the university’s mission and goals.

Position Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications; applicant must have attained;

  1. A Masters’ Degree in International Relations, Education or related field.
  2. A PhD in a relevant field is preferred.

Experience:

  1. A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience, five (5) of which should have been at middle management level/ sectional head level.
  2. Higher Education experience is required

Professional Registration or license

Should be a Member of recognized professional body.

Other requirements

  1. Proven leadership experience in international higher education.
  2. Strong understanding of global education trends, recruitment strategies, and administrative best practices.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural skills.
  4. Ability to align marketing efforts with recruitment goals.
  5. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for international students.
