DIRECTOR BUSINESS ANALYSIS

The University of Botswana, invites suitable candidates for the position of Director, Business Analysis in the Office of the Vice Chancellor. The position of Director, Business Analysis is responsible for ensuring that the University explores available business opportunities and generate additional revenue. In addition, it is to ensure that adequate mechanisms to stop revenue leakages are put in place. The Director will work closely with the Executive Management and other departments such as Internal Audit, Financial Services, Campus Services, Legal Services to ensure that the University achieves its financial stability goal, in the long run. 

Key Performance Areas; 

  • Assisting in identifying and creating business opportunities and culture.  
  • Ongoing operational and strategic analysis of business processes to maximize revenue  
  • Promoting understanding and appreciation of revenue generation activities.  
  • Establishing fraud mitigation factors. 
  • Creating fraud awareness and prevention culture 
  • Support management effort to stop financial leakages  
  • Regular reporting to management regarding progress on revenue generation efforts 
  • Advising management on both, revenue generation streams and fraud risk factors.

Position Requirements:   (i)A minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or similar qualifications (ii) Professional qualification in areas such as ACCA,CIMA and BICA, and (iv) Membership of BICA. A minimum of Diploma in Forensic Accounting is desirable 

Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business and Financial Analysis and fraud investigation. Thorough understanding of business and financial analysis principles and application of good corporate governance. Human relations skills, good communication skills, professional and ethical attributes are essential.
