CLINICAL ASSISTANT

  Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Contribute to the development of university and departmental strategies, policies, plans & procedures. (ii) Assist in the implementation and delivery of high-quality clinical/ patient care services to students, staff, and the community. (iii) Participate in educating students, staff and visitors on various health topics, including preventive care, nutrition, sexual health, and mental well-being; (v) Performs HIV testing and counselling. (vi) Assist in the implementation of clinical quality assurance programs. (viii) Provide excellent customer service ensuring client and stakeholder satisfaction. (ix) Participate in the identification and mitigation of operational risks. (x) Identify learning opportunities and follow up on own training and development in line with departmental needs. (xi) Undertake any other duties as required by the University in line with the role and assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements: Candidates should have (i) A Diploma in Emergency Care Technology/Clinical Technology or equivalent (ii) A minimum of two (2) years working (iii) Strong clinical and assessment skills.

Qualities: (i) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (ii) Commitment to patient safety and good clinical practice. (iv) A compassionate and empathetic attitude when dealing with patients' health concerns and unique circumstances. (v) Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
