VACANCY NO: FHS/SPH01/2023 - AUDIOLOGY TECHNICIAN ( Contract Position) (Re-advert)

 

The main purpose of the job:  To assist with the audiological evaluation of clients under the School of Public Health.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Perform audiological evaluations for the Audiologist, interpret and assist with testing, (ii) Perform audiological work for hearing aid programs such as registering clients for appointments, taking ear mould impressions, performing minor repairs to hearing instruments, completing paperwork for hearing instruments, ordering, repairing and replenishing supplies used for testing, (iii) Clean equipment and sterilizes instruments used for evaluations, (iv) Perform administrative duties for the Department such as recording statistics, receiving and answering daily correspondence, (v) Purge hearing aid records (vi) Preparing clients for testing, (vii) Prepare administrative promotional activities., viii) Perform any other duties as may be required by the Department.

Requirements:  i) A Diploma in Communications Sciences and Disorders or similar with skills in audiology equipment and techniques, communication and computers; ii) Candidates with industrial experience will have an added advantage
