ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION SERVICES DIRECTOR (FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

The University of Botswana (UB), a state- owned tertiary education institution, invites suitable candidates for the position of Director, Academic Administration Services in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor.

The Director, Academic Administration Services is responsible for developing, planning and coordinating the academic administration services function which embraces coordination, implementation, and review of academic policy, overseeing the academic structure, as well as student recruitment, admissions, enrolment, scheduling, records, examinations and related administrative services; providing centralized academic administrative support to all Faculties of the University, its affiliated and associated institutions.

Position Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications; applicant must have attained;

  1. A Masters’ degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  2. A PhD in a relevant field will be an added advantage

Experience:

  1. A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience, five (5) of which should have been at middle management level.
  2. Higher Education work experience is preferred 

Professional Registration or license

Member of recognized professional body. 

Other requirements

  1. Strong understanding of academic policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  2. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  3. Proficiency in data analysis and technology systems used in academic administration.
