Certificates and Transcripts

The Academic Services office is at the student centre block 139 and it deals with certifying qualified student. The Academic Transcript showing academic record is also issued from the same office. Students who complete their studies are given a full transcript. The certificate is given after the graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony is normally held in the month of October or November.

Graduation

Students who are eligible to graduate are those who would have fulfilled the programmes requirements. The eligible students would apply for graduation on the student portal and an assessment would be done, which would allow them to graduate. The graduation ceremony is held once a year in the months of October or November.

Certificate Reprint

A replacement certificate can only be issued to a former student (not a third party) where the original has been lost or damaged. A request for a replacement certificate is deemed to constitute a declaration that the original has been lost/damaged and therefore one must provide the following:

FORMER UB STUDENTS

  1. A Police Affidavit with the following details.
    1. Full names of the applicant as they appeared on graduation booklet
    2. Programme of study
    3. Year of graduation
    4. Student Id number
    5. Contact number of the applicant: mobile/landline
    6. Email address and postal address of the applicant
  2. Certified copy of Omang or Passport for non-citizens
  3. Proof of change of surname if the surname was changed after conferment of degree
  4. Proof of payment (P500) – paid through the University online payment portal

 

FORMER AFFILIATED INSTITUTIONS STUDENTS

  1. A Police Affidavit with the following details.
    1. Full names of the applicant as they appeared on graduation booklet
    2. Programme of study
    3. Year of graduation
    4. Student Id number
    5. Contact number of the applicant: mobile/landline
    6. Email address and postal address of the applicant
  2. Certified copy of Omang or Passport for non-citizens
  3. Verification letter from College/Institute
  4. Academic Transcript
  5. Proof of change of surname if the surname was changed after conferment of degree
  6. Proof of payment (P500) – paid through the University online payment portal
