Faculty of Humanities

Be humanly complete!

In our Faculty, understanding and knowing humanity is at the core of research and teaching. In this Faculty, you will be equipped and inspired to investigate and gain a better understanding of human ideas, behaviour, culture and its mediation. The Faculty helps students to discover and appreciate the heritage and liberal arts of Botswana and other African societies. With Humanities studies you will be a well-rounded student as you go through the mould of education and training that makes you a versatile professional who is adaptive in the job market. The implementation of Botswana Qualification Authority Standards is transforming and reshaping the Humanities programmes further, especially in the departments of Media Studies, Information and Knowledge Management, Philosophy, History and Cultural Studies which aim to produce students who are multi-skilled. Such graduates are ready to face the challenges brought about by the fast changing society and economy. Thus, in the liberal arts education perspective, the Faculty of Humanities is in the best position to arm you with knowledge for wide-ranging service areas in the modern job market.

Come to the Faculty and be humanly complete.
