TEACHING ASSISTANT IN PUBLIC RELATIONS / ADVERTISING / DESKTOP PUBLISHING

Duties: To provide support and instruction for Public Relations and Advertising / and Desktop Publishing in the Department of Media studies, to work with the course lecturer in Print Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising courses and any other related areas as requested by the supervisor. Specific duties include guiding students in graphics design, the production of student newspaper, and other publications such as newsletters, magazines, fliers and posters.

Requirements: Applicants must have i) at least a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations /Media Studies/ Communication or related field with at least 2(i) pass /GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; ii) a strong background in public relations, advertising and desktop publishing; iii) familiarity with Mac (Apple) operating systems and knowledge of Adobe InDesign will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: The University offers a competitive hourly rate for part time services.
