SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER:  EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT (1 POSITION)

Duties: The successful candidate is expected to: (i) Teach courses in Educational Management at both undergraduate and graduate level; (ii) Participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research and curriculum review; (iii) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.  

Requirements:

Senior Lecturer: Candidates must have (i) at least a Master’s Degree in Educational Management/ Educational Leadership/Educational Administration; (ii) BA/BSc, B.Ed. degree with at least a 2.1 pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (iii) BA/BSc degree holders must also possess a PGDE/PGCE of at least a Merit; (iv) have at least 3 years of teaching experience in a University or comparable institution; (v) a good and sustained record of research and publications with at least 6 publications, 4 of which should be refereed journal articles reflecting a spread of national and international journals and/or publishing outlets; (vi) lead and/or single author in at least 2 refereed journal articles or book chapters; (vii) evidence of service; (viii) The following will be added advantages: evidence of effective academic leadership; a relevant PhD, multi-disciplinary experience in teaching, research, administration or consultancy work. The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications: clearly specifying titles of publications, dates, names of publishers, names of co-authors if any, and number of pages. The publications should be categorized into: books, monographs, chapters in books, refereed and non-refereed journals, consultancies etc. The CV should also have a detailed list of courses taught and the levels at which they were taught.

Lecturer: Candidates must have (i) at least a Master’s Degree in Educational Management/ Educational Leadership/Educational Administration; (ii) BA/BSc, B.Ed. degree with at least a 2.1 pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent. (iii) BA/BSC degree holders must also possess a PGDE/PGCE of a least a Merit. (iii) Evidence of engagement in research and service. The following will be added advantages: a relevant PhD, teaching experience at a University or comparative institution and effective academic leadership
