RESEARCH ASSISTANT (4 POSITIONS): FULL-TIME FOR 1 YEAR FIXED CONTRACT

Duties: The successful candidate is expected to: (i) Screen, consent, and enrol eligible participants. (ii) Optimize recruitment by using different strategies. (iii) Collect data through interviews, administering questionnaires and medical chart abstraction. (iv) Assist with data entry into the REDCap database. (v) Perform data cleaning and quality checks both in the CRFs and database regularly. (vi) Collect and handle samples under good infection control. (vii) Educate the participants about the study including HPV/cervical cancer and offer answers to the questions raised. (viii) Any other tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor and or study team.
Requirements: Applicants should hold a (i) Basic Health Care Assistant (HCA) certificate and/or certificate in any health-related course (ii) Diploma will be an added advantage. iii) Must have knowledge of computers
Experience: At least a minimum of 2 years working as a research assistant/HCA or recruiter in health-related research/projects/studies.
Competencies: The candidate will be required to perform the duties outlined above with the use of clinical research ethics and adherence to study protocol. Must be well organized, excellent planning skills, good communication and people skills
