PROTECTION SERVICES ASSISTANT (2 POSITIONS) - VACANCY NO: IRC 836
The Department of Okavango Research Institute invites applications for the position of Protection Service Assistant.
Requirements: A minimum of a COSC/BGCSE or equivalent.
Duties: (i) To patrol university premises, man security access points (ii) to ensure sufficient physical security of the university premises and restrict access to unauthorized persons and investigates occurrences. (iii) Complying at all times with the university security rules and regulations, traffic, fire safety management and regulations/procedures. (iv) maintains law and order, prevents and detects crime. Responds to disturbances, arrests and detains suspects, interviews, records statements from parties to reports and incidents.
Competencies: The candidate must be assertive, innovative and proactive with good communication skills.
