PART TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT – 9 POSITIONS
VACANCY NO: FSS/STA 4/2019
Duties: The successful candidate will be required to (i) assist course lecturers of first and second years in their tutorials. (ii) Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Each Teaching Assistant will be required to work 8 hours per week unless otherwise determined by the Department. Tutorials shall normally be held during the day, but a limited number may be held from 1700-1800 Hours. The appointed candidates will be working under the supervision of the Departmental Tutorial Coordinator, Course Lecturer and Head of Department to achieve the departments teaching requirements.
Requirements: The minimum requirements are a Bachelor degree with statistics as a major, with at least a second class pass or equivalent. A higher degree in statistics or prior relevant experience shall be added advantages.
Preference will be given to currently registered Graduate Student in Statistics.
Remuneration: The University of Botswana offers a competitive fixed hourly rate.
