DEPARTMENT OF LIFELONG LEARNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
VACANCY NO: EF/DLCD 1/2019: LECTURER IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Duties: The successful candidates will be expected to; (i) teach undergraduate level courses in foundational areas of community development and lifelong learning; (ii) Entrepreneurship and community development; (iii) Entrepreneurship as a Community Development Strategy; (iv) Social Entrepreneurs and Community Development. The successful candidate will also be expected to (i) supervise undergraduate students; (ii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research and outreach; and (iii) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have; (i) at least a Masters’ Degree in Adult Education, Community Development or equivalent; (ii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Adult education, Community Development or related field with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent. Applicants should also show evidence of engagement in relevant research and services. A relevant PhD, and teaching at a university level or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.
