EU Head of Delegation pays courtesy call on Acting VC

European Union Head of Delegation to Botswana and SADC, Ambassador Alexander Baum, paid Acting University of Botswana Vice Chancellor, Professor Kgomotso Moahi, a courtesy call on March 6, 2017.
Ambassador Baum expressed EU's desire to increase collaboration and partnerships with the University. He noted that UB could benefit from the high level Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programmes offered by a consortium of European and Non-European higher education institutions.
This EU programme for education, training, youth and sport offers a range of opportunities for higher education students, doctoral candidates, staff and institutions from around the world.
Last year, Ambassador Baum participated in a panel discussion on Botswana's energy aspirations in the 21st century at UB. He also gave a keynote address during a panel discussion on how to utilise public procurement to create employment through the national budget hosted by the Department of Management in Faculty Business on February 23, 2017.
