Academic Programme Review Unit Goals for 2006/2007
The APRU has defined the following goals for the academic year 2006/2007.
- Progression towards achievement of the APRU overall goal and purpose through internalization and application of our values and the principles espoused in the Academic Quality Management Policy.
- Create an environment where UB values are operational and staff can contribute to achievement of the UB mission
- Provide capacity building for staff in course and programme development.
- Develop audit tools to assist academic staff to monitor internal quality of courses and programmes through self-study.
- Develop an audit system for monitoring implementation of internal and external quality assurance processes.
- Develop best practice models for quality in educational programmes through applied research and linkages with local, regional and international organizations.
- Build departmental capacity in identification of best practice models and development of programmes that meet local, regional and international standards.
- Perform activities that enhance the visibility and image of the APRU and the UB in general.
