CSSU Learning and Teaching Philosophy
The CSSU L & T Philosophy is based on the principle of self-directed and active learning. The unit aims to promote critical, creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills for life-long learning. It promotes learners’ academic and professional communication skills. The focus is on producing learners who can understand and communicate information in their chosen fields of study and become competent communicators as scholars, professionals, and interactive citizens.
Educational principles
CSSU courses endeavour to uphold the following educational principles:
The learning and teaching activities will be innovative in the use of appropriate technologies and techniques. It will be creative, diverse, and will be adjusted to learner's styles and needs in contexts that guarantee academic freedoms. It will seek to equip students with skills and attitudes for becoming active independent learners as well as becoming functional professionally and globally. The quality of skills and attitudes will be assured through regular rigorous but fair and appropriate tests, projects and other forms of assessment.
