Edutech's Mission
EduTech is committed to spearhead the appropriate and innovative use of educational technologies at the University of Botswana and its Affiliated and Associated Insitutions, and to provide a technologically advanced and relevant learning environment.
EduTech promotes appropriate and innovative uses of educational technology. EduTech conducts research, produces educational media and develops educational technology applications that are appropriate for developing environments.
EduTech assists academic staff in the use of a growing variety of educational technologies to improve their teaching and engage students in more active learning. eLearning is emerging as a major focus of our work and our Unit is leading the University of Botswana UBel Programme.
EduTech creates appropriate procedures and policies for educational technology acquisition and use. The unit created and offers the CAD eLearning Certificate, provides individual support to academic staff and students, and also issues and maintains instructional equipment.
