International Education and Partnerships

University campuses across the globe have to come to terms with the ever growing momentum around internationalization of higher education.  This is evidenced by increased student and staff mobility, the number and quality of international collaborative research projects and efforts to incorporate international dimensions into the curriculum.  The University of Botswana (UB) has not only embraced these developments but has also made major strides in the realization of the internationalization policy objectives. UB sees internationalization as one of the key elements of its strategy for excellence.

To attain the vision of excellence, UB has forged a number of collaborative projects and partnerships with highly reputable international institutions across the globe (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America).   The university boasts high quality programmes; an international faculty most of whom hold doctoral degrees from top international institutions across the globe; a growing international student enrolment (currently 5.7%); a growing study abroad programme accounting for approximately 85 students per semester and about 185 per year coming through faculty-led short-term programmes; academic and outstanding academic and recreational facilities and a world class library. UB has become a truly international campus committed to offering an outstanding student and staff experience.

We would like to welcome you to Botswana's flagship higher education institution, located in one of the most peaceful and pluralistic countries in the world also home to the Okavango Delta and highly acclaimed game reserves.
