Finance and Administration
The Division of Finance and Administration provides leadership in the finance and administration areas by formulating and implementing policy on finances, administration, information technology, human resources, security, domestic services, general services and the maintenance of physical resources of the University. The department provides strategic and policy advice to the Vice Chancellor on financial and administrative matters by way of four directorates, namely; Human Reources, Financial Services, Information Technology and Campus Services.
Until 1999, these operations were run from the Registrar’s Office and the Bursar’s Office. Campus Services and Human Resources were under the Registrar while Financial Services and Information Technology were under the Bursar’s Office. It is the restructure process of 1999/2000 that gave birth not only to the departments as they are, but also to the divisional posture they now assume, headed by a Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.
