UNDERGRADUATE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
Admission to the BA programme in African Languages and Literature Programmes shall be as specified in the Faculty of Humanities Regulation 22.20.
 
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE AWARD
To be awarded a degree, a student must satisfy the appropriate provisions of the Academic General Regulation 00.851
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
 
Programme Structure
 
i. The African Languages and Literature courses shall be offered at levels 100 to 400 for the undergraduate programme as outlined in regulations 2.1 to 2.3 below. .
 
ii. In addition to the African Languages and Literature courses, an undergraduate candidate majoring in the programme shall take General Education Courses (GECs) and Electives in accordance with the General Regulations 00.2124.
 
iii.The Department of African Languages and Literature offers also undergraduate courses to candidates who may not be majoring in African languages and Literature, as outlined in Regulation 2.4 below.
 
iv. The Department of African Languages and Literature offers GECs under Area 6: World Civilizations, as outlined in Regulation 2.5 below:
