The University of Botswana Foundation is a non-profit Trust intended to engage the public and private sector, and other stakeholders in partnerships with the University of Botswana.
UB Foundation was established to assist the University of Botswana in meeting the goal of building an educated and informed nation as envisioned in Vision 2016. The UB Foundation was officially launched on the 24th of March 2000 by the then Chancellor and former President Mr Festus G. Mogae.
The primary purpose of the UB Foundation is to advance, promote, and support the mission of UB and to enhance excellence at UB by building enduring relationships and resources that enable University of Botswana to become a leading academic centre.
The Foundation is the official fundraising arm of the University. The Foundation establishes, maintains and strengthens relationships with its key stakeholders in the business community, alumni, donors, and friends of the University.
The Foundation attracts, solicits, manages and invests gifts from generous UB friends and supporters in support of the University's mission in the priority areas to enhance promote and reward academic achievement, learning and research at the university
