TrainingThe short courses, workshops, seminars and/or conferences which the Business Clinic offers are intended to provide up-to-date, practical information and teach basic entrepreneurial and business management skills.
Counseling Services
The Business Clinic shall provide an environment for professional entrepreneurial and business management counseling to entrepreneurs.
These include identification of opportunities, assisting with growth strategies, providing relevant information for business and provide
a general resource for the entrepreneurs.
It is expected that the counselors would compile information on the customers which can later be used in writing case studies and also undertake targeted research in business. The volunteers for the Business Clinic shall also benefit through in service-learning internships and accessing the vast informational resources of the Business clinic.
What we do?- Empower small businesses and non-profit organizations in the community with the necessary knowledge and skills to operate their businesses
- Provide necessary assistance to small entrepreneurs during their start-up phase, their on-going continuation phase, and their expansion phase by offering quality counselling, business advice and representation, and community education information.
- Promotes public awareness and understanding of business and requirements by disseminating pertinent information to business owners and community groups, and by identifying current and future legal issues.
- Builds business competencies through service learning in a teaching clinic designed to create problem-solving lawyers attuned to the legal needs of small business owners and non-profit organizations
- Offer business counselling and services to enable the entrepreneur to run successfully on his/her way.
- Provide business formation, Company Registration and development assistance, assessment of risk/liability, opinions on code compliance and financial accounting and reporting standards
- Preparations of business plans
- Provide workshops, conferences, non certificate programmes, entrepreneurial training and development and executive/professional development programmes to the community
- Provides Accounting and Book-keeping services to Small Medium Enterprises
- Assist S.M.M.E` s with tools and Accounting models to improve their decision making processes (cost/revenue predictions/scenario analysis) and understanding of their own performance, cost drivers, and revenue sources
